I really struggle to write anything about myself. What I do write about includes places, people, books, ideas and whatever else happens to capture my attention. Unrelated is where thoughtful travel meets everyday creativity, strategic thinking, marketing, quiet observations and a long-standing list of mildly annoying things worth noting but not quite worth actually complaining about.

I'm interested in how people think, the stories attached to places and the details that so often turn ordinary moments into memorable ones. Here you'll find travel diaries, reflections, revelations, recommendations and the odd tangent that seemed like a sensible subject when I started writing it.
